San Francisco’s Construction Unions Endorse Mayor’s Parcel Tax to Protect Muni — San Francisco’s Economic Backbone
San Francisco — SF Building & Construction Trades Council, AFL–CIO, today proudly endorses the Mayor’s measure to save Muni and protect essential transit service for working families.
Mayor Lurie has brought together labor, transit advocates and business to ensure MUNI not only survives, but is stronger going forward. We are united in the fight to ensure working families can affordably and safely use Muni, protect thousands of good paying union jobs and power San Francisco’s economic recovery.

The Council represents thousands of skilled trades workers in the private and public sectors, in jobs ranging from electrical mechanics at San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) to ironworkers at the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District.
